Original 1978, 25th Year Silver Anniversery, L-82 , 4- spd. Limited edition ........ " Indy Pace Car ". There were 6502 of the "Limited Edition" Indy Pace Cars built in 1978 , and there were only 200 of them that were equipped like this one, with the L-82 , 4 spd option ......... this car is very rare and who knows how many of the 200 are left ? How many are still original? Very few as nice as this one! This is not a restored car, a wrecked car, a repainted car, or one that has had the speedometer turned back, it is original. I have a log of previous owners and mileage at each change of ownership. It was babied, properly maintained, taken to shows, enjoyed on sunny days, and stored properly. It won Bloomington Gold 2 times, and many 1st place shows. This car is in excellent condition, everything works, no rattles, squeeks, rides and drives really nice, and runs great. This car needs no excuses. As you can see in the pictures the paint is in very good conditio , considering the age of the car and the fact that all of them have their own character flaws. If you have looked at any other " original " Corvettes of this era, you are familiar with the character flaws that are present in all of them. If the prospective buyer would want to repaint the car and make it look better than new, I have a complete set of " Indy Pace Car - GM - original decals, stripes , and emblems, that will come with the car. I considered making it perfect , but after consulting with some fellow NCRS members and judges, I felt it was best to be left " original ". The interior is in excellent condition, never smoked in, no rips, tears, cracks, stains, looks great. All accessories, guages, and lights work properly . It is very nice under the hood and the under side of the car is very nice ...... no rust . This car is equipped with : L- 82 - 350 cu in V-8 , M21 close ratio 4-spd , FE7 Gymkhana Suspension , UP6 - AM/FM Stero with CB Radio and Pwr Ant. , 15C Leather w/ cloth inserts bucket seats, Glass roof panels, anti-theft system. I have original paperwork, manuals, window sticker, tank sticker, previous owners log, complete set of original - GM - decals, stripes, 2 - Pace Car Jackets - Small & Medium, nice car cover, many books, manuals, and other related material.
